This article is addressed to those of you who want to practice yoga, but are at the beginning. It is a good idea to start your yoga practicing at home by doing some easy poses you like most and from there try other poses, more complicated.
Although most people enjoy practice it in groups, under the guidance of a teacher, some of you, like busy mums for instance, can find it difficult to fit a yoga class in their busy schedule. For these people home practicing yoga is the best solution, saving both time and money spent on the class.
There are, however, some inconvenient regarding home practicing yoga, such as permanent motives of distraction like domestic duties or children. In order to help you in your attempt to take up home practicing yoga we have come up with a list of six simple steps to follow in order to have a successful yoga session in the privacy of your home.
1. The key to a successful yoga practice is to make time for it every day. Although this might seem impossible for some of you, there are however solutions to this inconvenient. One is you trying to get up only ten minutes earlier and spend this short time exercising some bed stretching. A good moment to do your breathing exercises is before going to bed. It will work wonders by clearing your mind and rid you of all the tension you accumulated in your body during the day.
2. Try to postpone smoking your cigarette after doing your yoga exercises. The relaxation you will feel after practicing that you might not feel any need to smoke at all.
3. Choose a place in your house where you feel most comfortable and dedicate that place only to your yoga practice. Decorate it according to your taste as to make it as welcoming as possible. Make the other family members respect it and remain silent during your yoga practice.
4. Make a little investment and purchase a good quality yoga mat and a pair of yoga pants. Whenever you decide to start your yoga exercises put on your special yoga outfit. Your brain and the entire universe will get this specific signal that you are going to devote entirely to yoga practice for the period of time you have established.
5. Set the duration of your yoga practice in advance, before starting the session, according to your personal schedule. Use a time set to signal the end of your session and never finish it earlier. What is important in yoga is not the amount of time you spend doing the exercises the wrong way, aimlessly, but rather doing them for a shorter period of time but remain entirely focused on them.
6. Control your posture and make sure it is always straight. Before starting the session take some moment to calm your mind and relax your body. You can always say a prayer, a few rounds of OM in order to help you relax and start your yoga session properly.
Repeatedly following these six simple steps will ease your way of home practicing yoga. Remember to practice on regular basis in order to see the results and better face the every day problems of life.
