Although its new, some still prefer buying the TZ10 that first came out because it has more features. The LCD screen of the TZ10 looks better compared to DMC-TZ8 and it has a GPS tracking and AVCHD movies that is also capable of capturing sounds.

If you want a good deal in cameras, you should choose ISO 100 to 400 rather than getting an ISO-800 for quality reasons.
It is understood that Panasonic wants to keep up with competition so it came up with a low-end model. However, the quality was obviously sacrificed with regards to its LCD screen, resolution and video mode. Although its video mode has 1280×720 pixels, it still cannot be closely compared to the video quality of the TZ10 and the TZ7 models. Moreover, this model by Panasonic does not have a particular button for its movie mode. There are really many features that are missed in this camera. The new models may not always have the best say when it comes to innovations and enhancements.
