The Best Computer Virus Protection

by Admin on May 5, 2010

Everybody has a rather justified fear of their computer becoming infected by a virus. Most of the viruses that get anywhere near your system, could have easily been stopped, but this requires you to have some virus protection in place.

Some computers are at little to no risk of infection, if you use your computer for small tasks, such as visiting news websites or social networking, then it is likely you will never come across a virus, and if you did then it would do little damage. If you use an external e-mail system such as Gmail or Hotmail, then your e-mails will be safe as they are kept secure on an external system.

There is a rather surprising fact that up to 60% of computers have viruses on them, however, the creators of these viruses have not set them off yet. It is likely that these viruses will never be set off, and therefore, will never cause you problems.

AntiVirus for your Computer

The viruses that you are most likely to come across are Trojans, and while they can be annoying, they will not compromise your details, they will usually just corrupt your Internet service.

If you do keep valuable information on your system, then you have to ask yourself the question should you put this information at risk, by connecting your system to the Internet. However, regardless of how you keep your information there is always a way of it being compromised. Let’s put it like this, you would not leave your bank details outside for everybody to see, they would be behind locked doors. The same observation applies to computers; you would/should not keep your information on your computer, without it being protected by antivirus software.

Remember one thing, as important as it is to have antivirus software on your system, it is as essential to have updated antivirus software on your system. Hackers strive to find new ways to infiltrate systems, and antivirus worker always try and combat these methods. If you have non updated antivirus software, then you might as well not have one at all, because it will be that ineffective

Also, always run a complete system scan, this way you will be able to quarantine any potential dangerous viruses before they do anything, therefore, eliminating the threat.

If you are ready for an attack then it will be much less of a danger to you if something happens, it is like anything, if you have methods in position to deal with something then if it happens it is not going to be as damaging. However, leave yourself unprotected and the consequences can be dire.

Well honestly Quick Heal Total Security is a good option but I would prefer them. I would choose Avsat anti virus for my computer as it updates daily with new virus definition. ( At least 3 times a day ) and also give best security during online surfing.
