Thanks for info. I am waiting for TATASKY HD PVR, after using tataky plus for two years i cant go back to non recording HD box , so can u please give some idea how many months i have to wait to see TATASKY HD PVR.

As of Now Tata Sky have no plans to introduce HD DVR STB! So Tata Sky+ user need to wait for at least 3 months as Airtel and Videocon D2H are going to introduce their HD DVR boxes at that time!
oh , so is it good idea to go for BIG TV HD DVR instead of waiting for tatasky HD DVR? and second question is it worth to get HD DTH now as there are very few channels (discovery and national Geo in most cases)offered or shall we wait for some more time to get some movies channels also in HD , like Star movies etc as promised by tatasky.

Have ordered the HD box with tata sky no one bothers to install the same every time you call up at customer care they give you a diffrent excuse. Customer care is ver very poor of Tata Sky. they will give you only more problems will never recomend and one

Well in India DTH operators just started HD service and we can say it’s just initial stage so we have to cop with some drawbacks but I am sure within next 12 months we would see 1080p with them.

I am still waiting to switch to HD from my current TATA SKY PLUS.
I called up tata sky in Bangalore and they gave some BS about festive season and not being available.Why give false ads on the website if you dont have the damn thing.Airtel is crap anyway.1080I ( interlaced signal) is not that good as the progressive ( Full HD 1080p)in terms of quality or output to through aProjector ( 1080P) like the panasonic PT-AE-4000U
