One of the most humane and thoughtful causes that India is working towards is ‘save our tigers’ campaign. This campaign has gained immense popularity as advertisements are incessantly splashed on the channels and most of the social networking sites are inviting Indians to join this cause and support the efforts made by Indians to save their national animal that symbolizes pride and national heritage.
The regality, deafening roar and the majestic color of the national animal is going to be so lost as the survival of tigers is getting difficult and challenging in our incessant environment. What do you think when you look at the figure 1411? I guess nothing much. But this figure is very pertinent when we are talking about save our tigers campaign. The total number of tigers that are alive in India are just 1411 in number. This alarming and upsetting as our national animal is in danger and their existence may soon vanish from India.
It has just been a month that we-the Indians have woken up to this national cause. This campaign was not thought or planned. It was a spontaneous effort by thoughtful and caring Indians to save the existing national animal in India. This development shaped overnight and awareness is being spread in villages, towns and cities so that people wake up from their deep sleep and realize that saving the existing tiger has become an issue of national pride. Sometimes, simple marketing items like embroidered patches do help in creating awareness.
The government has been attached to this cause from the past four decades but now that Indian celebrities and corporate are taking super efforts to publicize the campaign in an explicit way is helping in the advertising and awareness of the campaign. The corporate may or may not agree that this cause his helping them build the CSR activity. Save our tigers campaign is making them make a presence amongst the countrymen and this is adding value to their existing brand. Companies are spending lot of money for this humane and national cause.
Aircel a leading telecommunication company has acted maturely towards the genuine cause by splashing advertisements and driving awareness in the hearts of young and old people alike.
Worthwhile and noteworthy attempts have been spearheaded by individuals and companies so that this is seen as national importance cause. Human beings look at tigers as a man-eater and danger is associated with tigers. However this thought needs to be transformed in a positive way which will help and genuinely support the cause in the best possible way. Hunting the tigers should be banned as the life of the few existing tigers is endangered just for a few thousand rupees. The skin nails and other parts of the body are beneficial to make strong and sustainable medicines but now there should be end to killing the species as very tigers are left(1411) as per the information furnished by Wildlife Institute of India in association with the government of India in 2008.
Indians are joining hands and saving the existing tigers so that not a single tiger is killed. This is a cause of national pride. This is an important mission and all Indians should try in their own little way to save the national animal from being non-existent in our country. You can use social networking sites, make banners and create awareness so that our national animal is not killed anymore by mindless and insensitive human beings.
