Reliance Netconnect Broadband+ was introduced in early 2009 claiming that it is the fastest mobile internet service offering 3.1 mbps speed. It has two types, Netconnect Broadband+ Postpaid & Netconnect Broadband+ Prepaid connection with different tariff & data plans. The Netconnect Broadband+ service can be obtained by buying a USB modem from Reliance which is available in three models.
Reliance Netconnect Broadband+ 1
- Huawei EC 1260 & Huawei EC 168 C works in CDMA 1x RTT & CDMA 1xEVDO Rev A, both are auto installation & costs Rs.2290/-.
- The ZTE AC 8710 USB modem is slightly heavier, works in 800 MHz frequency band and easy Plug n Play (PnP) installation, costs same Rs.2290/-.
Reliance Netconnect Broadband+ Postpaid has a large detailed tariff plan to choose from, starting from Rs.299/- it goes up to Rs.1750/-. Some plans has extra facility like added usage limit in daytime or in nighttime, which Reliance considers from 6 AM to 10 PM as daytime & 10PM to 6 AM as nighttime. The detailed tariff structures are as follows:
- Minimum Rs. 299/- per month rental on pay per usage basis, costs Rs. 1/- per MB, available nationwide.
- Daytime special broadband plans of monthly 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB, 3 GB, 5 GB, 10 GB & 15 GB usages are available at the cost of Rs. 499/-, Rs. 650/-, Rs. 750/-, Rs. 850/-, Rs. 1099, Rs. 1250/- & Rs. 1750/- accordingly, which to be used within 6 AM to 10 PM daytime and Rs. 0.50/- is charged on per MB extra usage, available nationwide.
- Monthly Nighttime special plan of using 10 GB at night only, costs Rs. 499/- with Rs. 0.50/- extra charge on per MB usage, available nationwide.
- Monthly Combo Plans of using 1 GB, 2 GB, 3 GB, 5 GB & 10 GB usage at daytime and fixed 10 GB usage at nighttime is priced at Rs. 849/-, Rs.949/-, Rs. 1,049/-, Rs. 1,298/- & Rs. 1,149/- with Rs. 0.50/- charge per extra MB usage, available nationwide.
- Two monthly city special plans are available with 10 GB day and 10 GB day with 10 GB night usage limit, costs Rs. 1,099/- & Rs. 1298/- accordingly, available in 62 Major cities across India.
Reliance Netconnect Broadband+ Prepaid comes with lifetime validity offer on the USB Modem. It comes with different data usage plan valid for 30 days. The tariff covers usage of 300 MB, 700 MB, 1 GB, 3 GB, 5 GB, 10 GB & 15 GB plans cost accordingly Rs. 250/-, Rs. 500/-, Rs. 715/-, Rs. 935/-, Rs. 1,210/-, Rs. 1379/- & Rs. 1925 /- with charge of Rs. 1/- per extra MB used.
Reliance Netconnect Broadband+
Reliance Netconnect Broadband+ is available nationwide but gives broadband like speed in selected major cities only, at about 512 kbps in average. In other parts of the nation it gives 128 kbps to 196 kbps speed like 1x CDMA service. Their link has good stability, instant connecting facility but the field they lack in is faulty USB modem problem and poor technical support.
