Dear sir,
i was planned to buy the new HD-DVR on Junuary month 2011. In that purpose i went to enquired the details on your R-world shop at Pondicherry. They are not reply properly. I wait more than one hour, they are acting very busy.Finally i ask how to i get HD-DVR . They are answered to me just opposite one shop named “R.K.Teleservices #317, Kamaraj Salai, Pillaithottam, Pondicherry” (Mobile nos.+91 9244103999 & 9245481111) from your R-World.They are the dealer for big tv receiver you go to purchase from that shop. I went that shop on 19.01.2011 and give the amount Rs.6290/- that time they are assured to me, you will get your reciever with in two days. But till now they are not give the HD-DVR receiver. when i make phone call to the shop, no answer. This shop also closed always more than 30days. I go to ask to the R- world , they are saying we are not responsibile for these matter. Basically i want purchase HD-DVR from your R-world.Your people only advised to purchase from the dealer. What can i do for this matter, and how to i get HD-DVR or money.

Hello Amit,

Well when you a purchased a connection, Reliance HD DVR STB is Reliance’s property so you will not be owner of STB. Also you can purchase connection from R-World or any Reliance BIG TV Dealers! You need to pay amount to that shop owners to complete your order!

When we pay Rs.4990 – 500(for old STB) = 4490. Will we own the HD – DVR or will it be Reliance’s property? Have you bought it? How is your experience?
Whom do we pay the amount to get the new HD-DVR? Do we pay the people who come to fix it? Thanks. Amit Patel

Well Nat Geo HD comes with true 16:9 aspect ratio while rest of channels comes with original aspect ratio which provided by broadcasters, so it all depends on broadcasters.

Will all channels be in their true and natural aspect ratio of 16:9 or only the HD channel Nat Geo? I have HD TV set and when I watch SD channels with Reliance old analogue STB, I have to distort the channels and elongate the picture horizontally to fill the wide 16:9 screen or else the SD channels which are in 4:3 aspect ratio have black stripes at the left and right of the screen. Please shed some light on this. Thanks.
