Thanks Khalid, Yes BIG TV will shortly add Discovery HD to offer HD Channels for HD DVR. As from our information their are 3 channels which are going to start HD Feed which will be Cartoon Network HD ( Upscale ), World Movies HD (Upscale) and ESPN HD feed for Fifa World Cup 2010. So hoping these three channels on Reliance BIG TV HD.

Deva April 28, 2010 at 3:47 pm

Any idea about chase playback? (Start watching a recording before it is over). This is very helpful when watching movies with lots of ad. Start recording, and watch the movie after an hour… You can skip through the ad and by the time the movie is abt to end, you would be watching live TV..

Admin April 28, 2010 at 4:01 pm

Yes Deva, In Reliance BIG TV you would have an option to record the movie when movie start then you can watch it after hour where you can forward movie to avoid Ads then switch back to Live TV viewing!

Gopi April 28, 2010 at 4:29 pm

are the other channels upscaled to hd like sun direct hd..?
plss lemme knw on this …thnx !

Admin April 28, 2010 at 7:06 pm

Well as from industry source most of DTH players are ready to launch their HD services around Commonwealth games so sooner or latter we would have HD services from most of DTH operators. You don’t need to be feel unlucky as Tatasky+ is also a good option to enjoy TV viewing.

Admin April 28, 2010 at 7:08 pm

Hello Harmeet,

Well you will see difference when you will watch those channels from HD TV and STB and it will be more clear then normal STB. Other channels will come in SD Format ( Standard Definition ) which we are watching right now, while Upscale to HD is much better then SD. Sun Direct HD have Color HD in this format.

harmeet April 28, 2010 at 8:14 pm

Thanx Admin.
Are the SD channels gonna be the same as in the normal big tv stb in terms of picture quality ?
Or will the HD stb of big tv be able to deliver better picture quality for the same SD channels…
My priorities are SD channels should hv good picture and sound quality and plus recording facility…so it worth buyin a HD stb if the difference is large ?
pls lemme knw….thanx :)

Admin April 28, 2010 at 8:24 pm

Hello Harmeet,
