Microsoft is going to release its upcoming mobile phone Pink which may be announced in the middle of April 2010. But before announcement we were able to see leaked pictures and specifications of the mobile around the internet, which may be a market policy from Microsoft to create craze about their mobile. However, the leaked details & specifications do not have any exciting new feature to lure other mobile users to shift from their existing mobile phone to Microsoft’s Pink.
Microsoft Pink Mobile
Information about the pink obtained so far is :
- It will launch with Verizon, along with their data rates & tariff plans, not AT & T like before, and as well will come in CDMA enabled model.
- Pink will be Slider type design, a big multi touch screen on front and keypad upon the sliding
- It will be of round edge stylish design, much like other slider smartphone but with edge cut in round shape.
- Screen resolution of Pink will be 480 X 320 which is average comparing with other phones in this genre.
- Organized QUETRY type keypad with round face keys will be contained in it, dedicated keypad along with the virtual keyboard on screen will help in texting or typing.
- A rear camera of 3.2 MP resolutions & LED Flash will be there but no view of front camera has been seen so far in any of the leaked pictures or specifications, making it not suitable for Video Calling or Video Conferencing.
- The operating system will be Windows Mobile CE with features like Windows 7 but have base platform difference.
- The user interface will be Zune typography enabled, there will be touchable squares for separate programs like music, e-mail, RSS etc.
When Microsoft first announced their upcoming mobile, these were supposed to be iPhone killers or at least comparable with Apple iPhone but the specifications released so far, it is lagging many steps behind to be compared with something like iPhone. New generation mobiles like HTC Evo 4G or Motorola Droid have superior hardware inside them than Microsoft Pink.
So it’s waiting only for Microsoft to announce Pink Mobile phone details and prices and if they have and hidden card to play.

Mobile name is not pink…
its “project pink” and have two mobiles “Turtle” & “Pure”… the oval one is named turtle and the other is named pure…
Turtle is officially named Kin One
Pure is name Kin Two
Both phones use a customized Windows Phone 7 interface where online social interaction is central.
