Microsoft Announched Two New Mobile Phones Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two

by Admin on May 3, 2010

There are many debates about the Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two, and many of us are not sure what to think. The phones feel pretty solid in general and the keyboard layout have kind of a good feel for which you do not really need any typing lessons, mostly for Microsoft Kin One. The Microsoft Kin Two has a QWERTY keyboard. And I think it would be safe to say that for Sharp this is some kind of a improvement in hardware quality compared with any of its Sidekicks ever offered. But there is one problem in that the software is very limited in its scope. And it is understood that it is by design, but what teenager of these so-called “upload generation” social-connected teens would really want a phone that they cannot use to download games to? Verizon will have to answer this million-dollar question over the next few months, or so it will seem.

We are actually came away liking it more, although it is known that the Microsoft Kin One is positioned as the lower-end device on account of its 5 megapixel camera and half the internal storage compared with Microsoft Kin Two which has a 8 megapixel camera. The Microsoft Kin Two looks like an old landscape slider smartphone which is not meant to be interpreted as being a bad thing, but compared with Microsoft Kin One which looks truly unique, it is not an improvement from this point of view. The front of Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two is graced with a metallic button to offset a kind of a clean glossy black button. Keep in mind that this button is for Back and not Home, and if you are a few levels deep into UI, what will happen you will only be taken back. Also the typing speed of the buttons seems really good. Both Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two have specific camera buttons and there is no secret that video and image capture is a big improvement for these devices.

The general part of the use interface like the Spot or the Loop work kind of smoothly, and there is not any hiccups. The browser looks a bit stuttered in some places, but not too bad, and maybe this part will be improved, especially because the Kins support over-the-air updates. Zune software looks like the biggest achievement, as it streams over WiFi or 3G. You may be surprised, but yes, you can search for almost anything out of the Zane Pass collection, and then play it in the background if you get busy with other personal activities.

Both Microsoft Kin One and Kin Two are using a new operating system, Windows Phone OS, and on their main view you can use widgets to get updates on Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.
