When looking at iPod vs. Zune we will consider the two companies that have designed these mp3 players. The iPod is Apples creation and arguably their most popular product ever. The Zune was created by Microsoft and until now has been less known. The release of the Zune has never had the same hype as the iPod releases but the Zune is starting to become ever more popular. There has always been huge rivalry between both Microsoft and Apple especially with the Windows platform versus the Apple platforms so with these different mp3 players; this rivalry is taking new leaps and bounds.
When looking at the iPod vs. Zune we’ll look at the similarities. Nowadays both the iPod and the Zune are sophisticated multimedia players, playing both music, showing pictures and playing movies. The appearance of the iPod vs. Zune is both stylish and smart. As time goes on the iPod vs. Zune basically has similar storage capacity and can do similar tasks. They are also of similar prices too. However what are the differences between them? How can we know which one is right for us?

Microsoft Zune

Microsoft Zune

The Microsoft Zune has some added advantages over the iPod. Firstly as well as understanding mp3 and mp4 formats it also understands the WMV format too making it easier for Windows users to transfer windows movie files. The Zune has the added advantage of being able to transfer music files wirelessly from one Zune to another, assuming you have a large circle of friends that have the Zune. Also with the Zune you can transfer files over an XBOX 360 via a USB cable. So for iPod vs. Zune the Zune has the advantage of being able to engage with more devices. However with Apples iPhone and iPad we will see even more innovation from Apple.
