Where can you get a powerful touch screen smartphone that does just about everything ? Answer: HTC. They have a phone called the HTC HD2 that has nearly everything but the suspenders for your trousers. Check it out here in this quick article.

Quick, good looking, powerful, impressive, these are all words that describe the HTC HD2. It runs a very fast processor, one of the fastest available in a smartphone. The screen is a undeniable work of art and sets it in a top class of quality and size. The only weakness is the software and it is not all that weak. Removing this device from your pocket during the day will impress your friends and enemies alike. It thin but also tall, so that pocket will need to be a bit deep.

The first thing you notice about most smartphones is the screen. This is a “grandaddy” of a screen. It is 4.3 inches ( 10.922 centimeters ) in size. The total height of the HTC HD2 is 4.8 inches, so you can imagine that most of phone is covered in pure screen. The screen is easy to use while navigating because it uses the capacitive touch version of touch screens. No stylus is needed. The resolution is impressive at 480 by 800 pixels. The display is one of the things most enjoyable in the HD2. Just below the display are five buttons that control the Windows menu, back, home and call send and end. The screen changes automatically from portrait to landscape mode and has little to no hesitation when doing so. It includes multitouch capability.

Running this HTC HD2 is the Windows Mobile Professional 6.5 operating system. Some people really do not like Windows on their smartphone and others do. HTC is bringing this system to a top-end phone, but at the same time they are covering it up with their Sense user interface. You can compare it to a hand puppet covering the hand that gives it animation. Sense is the digital hand puppet that personalizes your navigation of the HTC HD2. It can cover up what could be an ugly “hand” of an experience for you. The thirteen menus are swipe-style and take your travels to another home screen for their respective purposes. Twitter is included and has its own home screen. It is possible to view the weather just by taking a quick glance at the screen. If it is wet out, the screen has drops of water dripping down the screen, if it is partly cloudy, a graphic of a big yellow sun with clouds appears. The HD2 is called the best Windows Mobile smartphone you can buy. It is only that way because the Sense user interface brighten up the experience.

The HTC HD2 has a monster of a processor running it. It is a 1000 megahertz Qualcomm Snapdragon model. This is the same processor running the “google phone”. What it creates is a smartphone that responds immediately to your inputs. When you go to open a program it is without a delay. When you turn the HD2 on its side to enjoy a horizontal presentation it happens without waiting. This speediness is also helped by the fact that the HD2 has 448 megabytes of RAM and 512 megabytes of ROM. If more is needed, there is a slot for a MicroSD card that can carry a huge 32 gigabytes of data.

The camera is a full-featured model with five megapixels of power. It has dual LED flash, autofocus, geotagging and takes video. The video is taken at thirty frames per second. For audio entertainment, there is a stereo FM radio and a 3.5 millimeter audio jack for headphones. The battery is too small for the power of this smartphone. It is 1230 mAh. At the moment it is available for $150 dollars with a discount from T-Mobile.

the htc hd2 is a pretty good phone. i really have no problems with it. i needed an unlocked phone that i could buy for a cheaper price out of contract. found this one on gsmauthority.com. the phone has a really large touch screen which i really like a lot, but i feel like it makes the battery not last as long. i would prefer the iphone but i didn’t have enough money for it at the time.

wow i actually like this phone. my new hd2 is really nice. i mean it’s not perfect but it has it’s good with it’s bads. i like my new unlocked world phones. screen is nice and responsive. i don’t like the buttons on the bottom and it’s kind of big but i’ll keep it. processor is faster, email is great for my business, the web browser is great for navigating and keeping up on my facebook and fantasy football. much better than my old unlocked sprint phones. my wife loves hers for the games and camera to catch all the kids and their moments. she loves her new unlocked t-mobile phones. my daughter takes great pictures with hers and my partner likes his for the gps and business apps. and the games are fun too. got my last couple unlocked gsm phones at gsmauthority.com and 2 thumbs way up
