Admin June 22, 2010 at 7:02 pm

Hello Vipin,

The Cost of Airtel Digital TV HD STB Box will be Rs 2,250 for existing customers choosing to upgrade and Rs 2,840 for new Customers and need to pay Rs 99 for ESPN HD.

These pictures might not be actual. But, yes the price mentioned here is true. AirTel’s DigitalTV website still shows no information about their HD STB. I want to buy it as soon as possible. AirTel is the Best! I currently own the normal AirTel DigitalTV STB. I have a Samsung Full HD LCD and would like to enjoy the top-notch quality. But, I think the additional monthly pack is a quite expensive for single HD channel. The entire package of HD channels should cost Rs.99/- per month. Then, it will be okay.

Hello Aman,

Yes Digital TV is launched and if you are from Metro cities then you will see stocks within 1 week! On HD Pack, HD Pack will carry two feeds, ESPN HD and Star Sports HD! When you are watching HD Channels, you have to ready for big money spending as HD Channels are costly ones!

2. Can we do recording thru USB.
3. what kind of audio connection they provide to get 7.1 dolby sound.

Airtel Digital tv is engaging in massive fraud. I smsed BUY to 54325 to get details of the connection. One executive called and after discussion paid Rs 999 for the connection. She gave me a transaction ID and said customer ID will be smsed in a couple hours. I never received it nor any serial code or activation code. Connection has not been given and it is now close to 2 weeks. Their customer service is so bad…they say they will take complaint but put you on hold and cut the call. Complaints are closed without taking action. When I call they ask for customer ID and I tell them I never received it. After 15 such calls I have thoroughly given up. They have absolutely no record of me paying the money but my credit card has been charged for the amount and I have transaction ID that they gave. I submit my complaint at consumer court i.e. http://www.consumercourt.in/direct-home-dth/12306-worst-airtel-dth-services.html and then mails to digitaltv@airtel.in are never replied even I have contacted to the Nodal officer. This is a complete nightmare and I never expected this from Airtel. All in all they have cheated me of Rs 999 and they are not going to give connection. This is the most pathetic customer service experience I have had in my life. My sincere advise to anyone reading this, please please dont go for Airtel Digital tv.

Admin August 27, 2010 at 7:07 pm

Hello Saurabh,

No Airtel DigitalTV [HD] not transmit every channels in 16:9 Aspect ration since non of broadcasters in India transmit in 16:9 ratio. Although Nat Geo HD come with 16:9 Aspect ratio.

Anas September 2, 2010 at 3:37 pm

Hi,

I am planning to purchase Airtel HD DTH. My questions are
1. I am having LG 32LH20R lcd tv (720P), is that ok for this airtel hd dth?.
2. Anyone from kerala had already bought this hd connection (any of the members) & how many days it will take to install and to make the STB up with all the HD channels they are providing (even though <3..)?.
3. How many Malayalam channels are there in HD dth connection.
All these questions i asked to customer care people, but they are giving some predefined answers all the time…;), & not the answers for my questions. So it will be grateful if i get proper info. through this page.

Thanks in advance

Rao December 20, 2010 at 4:57 pm

Hi Admin,

Can you clarify a little more on your response to Saurabh on all channels transmission in16:9 ratio…

Is this true for the Airtel DTH FDD?

If your ans remains same still…then I did a major blunder in my life by brining Samsung LCD, which shows the pics in a ugly shape in 16:9 aspect.

People who wants to go for Samsung LCD…. watchout.

dexter January 3, 2011 at 12:54 pm

what dish network and siz, direction required for airtel in south africa

thejas February 18, 2011 at 11:12 am

often getting still pictures and disturbance while watching.why?

Sudipta Paul February 20, 2011 at 11:24 pm

why its so that dish tv claims to offer so many HD channels, where as of now Airtel has only 2. Atleast add up channels like Movies Now and Discovery in HD, and also the HD channel costs are too high in Airtel as compared to Dish TV.

S. Biswas March 25, 2011 at 2:02 am

I heard that Airtel HD DVR has been launched. Is that true…then why is it not there in your website?
What is the cost and features?

sahil March 29, 2011 at 9:04 pm

is there vga port on the panel

TONY April 18, 2011 at 6:35 pm

Is there any chance of HD 3D comming on Tatasky ?

Shan June 19, 2011 at 1:16 am
