“The Daily” is a much awaited digital newspaper released recently by the combined efforts of Apple and News Corp. The Reuters’ reports state at the official launch of the digital newspaper a working prototype of Apple iPad 2 which had a front camera was seen by an eyewitness. This camera is situated at the top of the Display and can be used to make video chats and video calls. The eyewitness report confirms that a front camera is indeed a part of iPad 2.
News Corp. and Apple both have refused to give any comments on iPad 2. IT is also reported to be currently working on ways to reduce thickness and weight of iPad 2. Apple wants to make iPad 2 thin, light and robust. It is rumored that all the newer models of Apple iPad would carry a front camera to promote the standard FaceTime video call facilities developed by Apple.
AppleInsider saw an Apple job listing for an “iOS Photography Software Engineer” who would develop photography apps for their Mac and iPad platforms. The two main features of the camera powered by Apple iOS 4.3 beta were Camera Effects and Photo Streaming. This made by developers as Apple had released that version to the developers. So Apple is currently planning to make more camera related features for the iPad 2.
Apple iPad 2 is now all set to be available worldwide. The release date of Apple iPad 2 is expected to be in April 2011. With its Rival Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb making waves in popular tablets like Motrola Xoom, It is yet to be seen what the new Apple OS is capable of.
